The web site www.shroud.com/confrncs.htm lists 22 different conferences or symposia that have been held around the world in the last 20 years. 15 of these have been held in countries other than the United States, including eight in Italy, two in France, and one in each of Spain, Germany, Portugal, Peru, and Panama. About 164 registered at the last conference at the Drury Plaza Inn in Chesterfield, Missouri, which is a suburb of St. Louis. About 125 of these individuals came to the conference from outside of the St. Louis area. The title of this conference was “The Shroud of Turin: The Controversial Intersection of Faith and Science”. About 40 papers were presented during the conference.
